Janyce Denise Glasper is an award-winning Dayton, Ohio based multidisciplinary artist, writer, and independent scholar. Her essays and short stories have appeared in ÆQAI Journal, Belt Magazine, RaceBaitr, Black Youth Project, and other publications. She has exhibited art in Ohio, Pennsylvania, New York, Massachusetts, and Maine. 

Currently, she remotely writes for the artblog and runs femfilmrogue and Black Women Make Art.

Her favorite contemporary fiction writers are Helen Oyeyemi, Deesha Philyaw, Mary Gaitskill, and Yrsa Daley-Ward as well as the elders Toni Morrison, Alice Walker, Zora Neale Hurston, Shirley Jackson, and Dorothy West.
